More Birthday Fun

We had a fun trip to the mailbox today... not only was there real mail, instead of junk & bills, there were two packages. TWO. For Nathan. I think he was excited... just a bit overwhelmed that the red wagon was pretty full on the ride back to the house...

But he was determined to carry that big box into the house himself!

What could be inside??

Before we opened the big box, we opened the big envelope from Auntie M.

There was a cool card from her, with an ironman mask!

And - wow - there was a new book inside, too!

There was also a spiffy new outfit!

But it was the book that stole Nathan's attention.

Mostly just the sticky, stretchy frog's tongue on the cover.

He loves that thing! So much, he wouldn't let me open the book to read it to him. Not reading a book is very unlike Nathan - he loves books. But apparently, he loves sticky stretchy tongues more :)

He loves it so much, he let me lay his new outfit on him

while he played with his new book!

I think Nathan has a new favorite toy, and it doesn't make a single sound :)

Next, it was time to open the box from Grampa & Gramma.

Oooh... what could be inside??

Packing peanuts!!

I think he was more interested in those than anything else!

Until he saw the Buzz lightyear rocket - and saw that it makes noise

and is propelled on it's on when you shake it. It flies across the floor.

So many new fun toys!

Gramma also got Nathan a new outfit, too - and a floatie to swim in.

But those strange styrofoam peanuts were still tempting to play with!

While I talked to Gramma, he dumped the box on the living room floor. And proceeded to throw and kick them around the room. At least he had fun... lol When he wakes from his nap, he won't be able to find them anymore, hehe. He'll have to be happy enough with his new Buzz Lightyear & cool frog book. But he also has the popper toys Gramma sent along with Buzz - those things that explode with confetti - Daddy & Nathan will have fun with those. Outside :)
